Step into a Steampunk Menagerie
My partner, Marty, and I like to tell people that together we are one artist: My half with the traditional, analog materials. Marty working with digital tools.
Marty says:
“I work in Photoshop a lot, of course. In Photoshop I created Steampunk Unicorn from Marjorie’s coloring book, “Unicorn Wonders,” which I'm excited to share.
“We've developed a process using some advances now available using digital tools. If we're producing finished artwork from a coloring page, I'll render it in Photoshop. Marjorie will review it, and direct me to make edits digitally. Often I print it out to canvas or a print, and Marjorie will work into it with her traditional materials. After that I would actually scan it back in, color correct it, and finalize it.
“The key is that through this process the artwork is very faithful to the exact line art. You can see that by comparing them both. I love that Marjorie's coloring pages are very intricate, tight, and clear. This is why it works.”

I’ve designed intricate and fanciful coloring pages for over 30 coloring books published by Dover. I offer instant downloads of coloring pages, too. I’ve licensed my art to dozens of manufacturers that have created entertaining products and crafts. And here on this website, my Cats & Company Store is undergoing a makeover and will feature my artwork applied to new and exclusive merchandise when it reopens later this spring. Today my studio is located in sunny Southern California where I can always be found deeply involved in art projects of all kinds.
